Pencil Chair pencil-chair

The objective is to design an ordinary to become an extraordinary. We found that a basic pencil is so charming when it is sharpen. We admire every aspects of it. From its materials, a natural wood against a charcoal,to a contrast between a texture, smooth and rough, give us a stunt. We transferred all these fascinatons in to the process of making our ” Pencil Chair”

DOX chair ! a new handicraft for this coming milan fair !

We may say this is an art piece from Trimode!  An influence from Buddhists about the life chain has effected to our inspiration. This chair is hand crafted and currently on the experimental process, the material is anodizing aluminum and stainless steel. We look for the technique that could transfer our inspiration to the design. It’s end up with the technique of jewellery chain making so we trick the trick  of jewellery design to create the best result for our furniture. The process was done by making a prototype from jump ring (small metal hoop) first and then enlarge the scale to match with the furniture scale. We make an unlimited connectivity to transfer the massage of never ending life cycle. Simplicity is not always easy.

BAMBOO experiment~ “BAM”

bam“BAM” is part of  the future natural workshop which was run by the department of  product value development ministry of commerce Thailand. It was created with the idea of using traditional technique for an unexpected result and to create  new form from natural material with new possibility.BAM was created by reducing the structure of cylinder by sliding part of the bamboo tube out and bending it into an arc form. the arc provides rigid strcture to support the material and the curve give a friendly touch to the surface of  furniture.ni2

SODA chair09 for the milan furniture fair !

soda2SODA chair 2009 edition is made from genuine leather,a very soft deer skin. For the soda chair our idea came up while we were having sparking water. It sparks our idea to create an untouchable shape to be touchable. We brought the idea to furniture by applied it with an upholstery technique. The result is we got a new way to create un-boring upholstery furniture.
